Last night, I went to see the sunset on the Ottawa River. Here is a series of my best takes. I will make sure to use an external flash and/or a bounce instead of the built-in flash next time. The latter tends to create ”shinny” spots on faces.
It was nice out yesterday so I went for a bike ride. With the warm weather, tulips were starting to come out. Here are some photos I took downtown. On a side note, the 2010 edition of the Canadian Tulip Festival will be held in Ottawa, May 7-24.
A couple of weeks ago, two of my colleagues and I did a TV report on the potential closure of rock climbing routes in the Ottawa area. Our report was picked-up by Carleton University’s Centretown News.

The Rideau Canal Skateway opened last week. The ”World’s Largest Skating Rink” is celebrating its forth decade of operation this season. This evening, I went for some cross-country skiing in the park behind my house with my better half. I brought my camera along and gave a try at black & white photography. Here are some of the results. Last Sunday, I went skiing in Gatineau Park with friends. Here is a photo of our day.
